Chevy/GMC Truck Installation

Installation information for your ARmA15 Chevy/GMC truck kit. The shared rivnut tutorial is at the bottom of this page.

Chevy/GMC kit and mounting information

The current kit is listed for Chevy/GMC trucks, 1998 and newer, and includes the ARmA15 mount with vehicle-specific hardware. Match the mounting arrangement and clearance to your truck’s seat frame; model year alone does not describe every cab or seat configuration.

See the Chevy/GMC kit, hardware and fitment details. Wall hardware and a lock are not included; wall hardware is an optional purchase.

Customer installation: 2010 GMC Sierra

Academy Farm’s installation and review shows an owner’s older/custom setup. It is useful for seeing the mount in a truck, but it is not a step-by-step guide to today’s supplied rivnut kit.

The shared tutorial below demonstrates the supplied rivnut tool. Complete model-specific instructions for the current Chevy/GMC kit are still being prepared.

Rivnut Installation — Using the Supplied Tool

All ARmA15 truck kits use rivnuts. Watch this shared tutorial to see how rivnuts work and how to install them with the supplied ARmA15 tool. The same rivnut technique applies to Ford, Chevy/GMC, and both Dodge truck kits.

Don’t forget the lube—unless your installation plan includes cussing and wondering why the damn thing won’t work.

Lubricate the installation-tool threads as shown in the video before tightening. The lubrication demonstration starts around 2:20.
